How to use Alkeran 50mg Injection

Melphalan injection will be injected by your doctor or by someone under direct supervision of your doctor. The dose is based on body size. It is usually injected into a vein through a specially prepared site on the skin. It is sometimes administered by a technique known as perfusion.

Alkeran 50mg Injection is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancer cells and stops their growth and multiplication.

  • Melphalan should be administered under the supervision of a qualified physician experienced in the use of cancer chemotherapeutic agents.
  • You may be at risk of infection so try to avoid contact with people with cold, fever or any other signs of infection.
