How to use Cabozanix 80mg 30s Capsules

Cabozanix 80mg should be taken once a day. The usual dose is 60 mg, however your doctor will
decide on the right dose for you. Cabozanix 80mg should not be taken with food. You should not eat anything for at least 2 hours before taking Cabozanix 80mg and for 1 hour after taking the medicine. Swallow the tablet with a full glass of water. Do not crush the tablets.

Cabozanix 80mg blocks the action of proteins called receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), which are involved in the growth of cells and the development of new blood vessels that supply them.   • Tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, you are taking or plan to take. Be sure to mention any of the following: boceprevir (Victrelis), carbamazepine (Carbatrol, Epitol, Equetro, Tegretol, Teril), clarithromycin (Biaxin, in Prevpac), conivaptan (Vaprisol), indinavir (Crixivan), itraconazole (Onmel, Sporanox), ketoconazole, nefazodone, nelfinavir (Viracept), phenobarbital, phenytoin (Dilantin, Phenytek), posaconazole (Noxafil), rifabutin (Mycobutin), rifampin (Rifadin, Rimactane, in Rifamate, Rifater), rifapentine (Priftin), ritonavir (Norvir, in Kaletra), saquinavir (Invirase), telithromycin (Ketek), and voriconazole (Vfend). Your doctor will probably tell you to stop taking cabozantinib (Cabometyx) at least 28 days before your surgery or procedure, and will tell you when you should start taking the medication again.
  • You should know that cabozantinib (Cabometyx) may cause serious problems with your jaw. A dentist should examine your teeth before you start to take cabozantinib and regularly during your treatment. Be sure to brush your teeth and clean your mouth properly while you are taking cabozantinib (Cabometyx).
  • You should know that your blood pressure may increase during your treatment with cabozantinib. Your doctor will probably monitor your blood pressure before and during your treatment.
  • Do not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit or any foods or supplements that contain grapefruit or grapefruit juice while you are taking this medication.

Tell your doctor if you or your partner become pregnant or plan to become pregnant while you are being treated with Cabozanix 80mg.
Women taking Cabozanix 80mg should not breast-feed during treatment and for at least 4 months after treatment has finished, as cabozantinib and/or its metabolites may be excreted in breast milk and be harmful to your child.
Use caution when driving or using machines. Keep in mind that treatment with Cabozanix 80mg may make you feel tired or weak and can affect your ability to drive or use machines.
